Andrew Dipper Restorations has been in the business of restoring, conserving and building historic musical instruments for over 40 years. Originally founded in London, our workshop relocated to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1990. Occasionally we are able to offer for sale fine examples of original historic instruments and excellent copies of works by the best makers of past times.
Andrew Dipper Restorations specializes in the restoration and conservation of historically significant and ornate fretted and bowed musical instruments, with special interest in the period of 1570-1815. We work closely with our customers to ensure their satisfaction with the sound quality of instruments purchased from our workshop.
The inventory page contains a representative cross-section of the Baroque and Transitional period violins and bows that we currently have for sale. If you have any particular requirements or questions or have a special request, please feel free to contact us or send an email and we'll make every effort to assist you.
Andrew Dipper Restorations believes that the preservation of the original state of an instrument, whenever possible, is extremely important. For this reason we provide our customers with detailed documentation of the condition of instruments we restore and sell.
