He studied under Sebastien Schelle and took over this workshop after Schelle\u2019s death. Widhalm\u2019s workshop grew into the largest and most successful violin shop in Nuremberg. His work shows the influence of Jacob Stainer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Appearance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The varnish is a deep red that has aged nicely and gives the cello a distinguished look.
