Count Cozio di Salabue commissioned Giovanni Battista Guadagnini to make a viola. Guadagnini\u00a0 made this viola for Count Cozio di Salabue in 1773! What we would have observed during our 1773 foray, is Guadagnini enjoying the freedom to experiment and create innovative smaller-sized violas. The legacy of the &#8220;Cozio&#8221; viola is &#8211; it is considered one of Guadagnini\u2019s finest works. Return to 2025 and discover the 15 7\/8&#8243; Scrollavezza &amp; Zanre, Parma 2025 viola at Givens Violins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Appearance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The viola is a bench copy of the 1773 Cozio Guadagnini viola by makers\u00a0 Elisa Scrollavezza and Andrea Zanre who know the original J.B. Guadagnini well!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sound &amp; Feel:<\/strong><br \/>\nCome in and indulge yourself playing this marvelous viola. The viola nestles comfortably and organically on your shoulder and melts into the left hand with a welcome reposeful presence. Your bow will pull a broad, vibrant, and luminescent tone across the strings.
