After graduation, he worked for Philippe Bodart and Jerome Dariel in France (1982-84), traveled to New York (1985-87) to collaborate with Peter &amp; Wendy Moes, and then passed his master craftman\u2019s examination in May 1988 in Germany. Schiele continued his journey for knowledge by working on restoring antique instruments for Peter Biddulph in London (1988-1990); established his own Munich workshop in 1990; and has spearheaded exhibitions of Munich violin makers with concerts and lectures. Of special note, Schiele has developed the reconstruction of the violin shape using geometry and the golden section.
