After WWII, he moved to Erlangen, Germany, joining a new community of makers just north of Nurnberg. He was one of the few makers to leave Sch\u00f6nbach with his aged maple and spruce wood, the \u201cgold standard\u201d of instrument makers because of its extremely resonant tone. Givens Violins has always considered his violins and violas to be exceptional in their price range and we are very pleased when we have the chance to offer them to our customers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Appearance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This gorgeous violin is varnished a Golden-Amber color on its belly and the handsome, fiery two-piece back.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sound &amp; Feel:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It draws a very colorful and resonant quality across all registers.
