Givens Violins has been the sponsor of this competition since 1996 and we would like to extend our congratulations to John Belk, senior division winner of the 2011 Minnesota Sinfonia Young Artist Competition and the Givens Violins prize of $500. John will be performing the first movement of the Haydn Cello Concerto in D major with the Minnesota Sinfonia on Friday, July 22 at 7:30 pm at the Lake Harriet Bandshell.
