Claire and Midori

Internationally acclaimed violinist Midori performed with pianist Robert McDonald in Dawson, MN on Friday, Oct. 26. Claire Givens was pleased to sponsor the concert. Dawson was chosen as a recital site through Midori’s Partners in Performance program, a non-profit organization that brings quality chamber music to remote areas of the United States. Partners in Performance was created with Midori’s award from the Avery Fisher Prize for instrumental performance in 2001. Dawson has one of the oldest and most successful string programs for a city its size in the state of Minnesota (pop. 1750).
