Douglas’ parents are the highly regarded violin makers Carrie and Michael Scoggins. Douglas graduated in 2016 from the violin repair program at the Minnesota State College Southeast Technical. He is apprenticing with Andrew Dipper of Dipper Restorations to learn the fine art of restoration as well as working in the Givens Violins workshop. Douglas has achieved a black belt in martial arts and enjoys practicing the violin.
