Instrument Restoration Projects

Andrew Dipper is a respected Italian trained violin and bow maker and member of the International Entente of violin and bow Makers.

He is in addition a historian, writer, publisher, translator and lecturer.

His activity in restoring and conserving musical instruments since 1965 has allowed him to specialize in the restoration and conservation of historically significant, ornate, fretted, baroque, and bowed musical instruments; notably those from the period 1560-1815. His long-time experience and aptitude for extremely complex restoration projects and his high level of craftsmanship and documentation have enabled him to make very important contributions to his field.
