The Makers:
This violin was made by the E. H. Roth company which founded by the famous Ernst Heinrich Roth (1877-1948) in Markneukirchen, Germany. The firm was one of the prominent company in Germany and had made lots of high quality instruments and bows during 1920-1933. It was said that Roth would try all the instruments and bows before sending out to make sure all the products were in high standard. “Eugen Meinel” is one of Roth’s trade names which he used to supply retail sellers in markets.
Appearance:
The violin is handsome with a reddish-brown finish, slightly antiqued. The back is of two-piece of gorgeous maple.
Sound & Feel:
It carries the creamy, rich, tone that projects vibrantly across the four strings with ease, clarity, and refined lyricism.
