The Maker:
An 1983 graduate of the Violin Making School in Salt Lake City, David T. Van Zandt has devoted his life to making violins and violas for string musicians. He patterns his violins and violas from studying original 17th and 18th century master instruments and learning from the musicians who play his instruments.

This splendid 7/8 violin dressed with orange-brown varnish and medium flames ascending on the one piece back. It shows passion, intention, dedication, and artistry personify the character and work of David.
