Ian was born and raised in Duluth, MN to a family saturated with bass players. He played double bass throughout middle and high school in orchestral and chamber settings. As an adult, Ian transitioned to electric bass and was part of several bands before finding his creative pocket in a technical black metal group. He enjoys playing live around the Metro area, attending local shows, and traveling for music festivals. Having grown up on the shores of Lake Superior, Ian is a lover of the outdoors and all things living, with a special interest in ecology and native habitat restoration. He is currently pursuing a B.S. in Environmental Science at Metropolitan State University and looks forward to a life filled with music and cool insects.
