John Tartaglia was a violist in the Minnesota Orchestra for 29 years and is a composer whose works have been performed by many fine orchestras in this area. This piece is written for mezzo-soprano and viola. The text is based off of a poem by Emily Dickinson titled “My Life Closed Twice”.
