Widely celebrated as leading experts in the world of violin making (both from an artistic and intellectually based collaboration), Elisa Scrollavezza and Andreas Zanre founded their Atelier in 2002 (Parma, Italy) to continue the tradition of making, restoring, and dealing the finest string instruments to accomplished musicians.  This masterful team have published countless research articles and books on Italian luthiery.  Their business model is synonymous with gracious personality, warmth of character, passionate work ethic, and championing inspired craftsmanship.  Indeed, the instruments from the workshop emulate the aforementioned qualities.

This superb workshop violin is modeled after the instruments made by C. A. Testore.  The violin has several historic Testore features including a flat, partially fluted scroll, scribed purfling on the back plate, and three-part purfling on the top plate.  What a treasure this violin is!  A maker’s certification is also included with the violin completing this amazing work of art.
