The Makers:
This violin was made by the E. H. Roth company which founded by the famous Ernst Heinrich Roth (1877-1948) in Markneukirchen, Germany. The firm was one of the prominent company in Germany and had made lots of high quality instruments and bows during 1920-1933. It was said that Roth would try all the instruments and bows before sending out to make sure all the products were in high standard.
Appearance:
The violin is handsome with a dark red-brown finish, slightly antiqued. The back is of two-piece of highly flamed maple.
Sound & Feel:
It has a bold projection, sweet, and bright sound, and speaks with clarity across all strings.
