Werner Voigt (b. 1911) was the Director of the M.G. Voigt firm at Markneukirchen. He crafted this instrument in 1954. It has a light brown varnish and a two-piece back with handsome flames. The sound is sweet and colorful; it opens up with minimal effort and articulates quick notes cleanly. It is the ideal instrument for an advanced student.
