Born in Nowy Targ, Poland in 1962, Glodek began violin making study in the Lyceum with specialization in instrument making at the school in Zakopane. He also graduated from the Art Academy in Cracow with sculpture as his specialization. He apprenticed under the well known Chicago trained Polish Master, Jan Bobak. Glodek makes mainly violas which are played by many respected musicians the world over. This cello has a full and rich low end paired with sweetness in its higher register. Its ease of playing allows players to bring out power in the instrument while maintaining a beautiful color. This cello would be perfect for advanced players.
