Dealers, Makers & Restorers of Fine Violins, Violas, Cellos & Bows
The Maker:
Brian taught at his alma mater, the Chicago Violin Making School, for 8 years beginning in 1985. Since then he has opened his own school called the New World School of Violin making in Presque Isle, Wisconsin. He has been instructing students and making his own instrument ever since.
Appearance:
This viola is a fantastic representation of his masterful work, precise and stunningly beautiful. It has a rich red-orange varnish with a finely flamed back.
Sound & Feel:
The viola produces a brilliant and clean sound in the lower range and a soaring upper range. It responds easily, and because of its slightly smaller size, is very comfortable to play. This instrument would be perfect in the hands of a serious violist.
