The Maker:

Douglas Cox received his early training as a violin-maker in Mittenwald, Germany in the late 1960’s and has since gone on to carve out a tremendous career as a master maker. Having received numerous awards from VSA competitions, Douglas Cox instruments are catching the eyes and ears of top players worldwide.

Handsome reddish-brown varnish and stunning flames on the back.

Sound & Feel:

This viola is incredibly responsive. Its sound is big and bold, yet still carries a rounded and refined tone. Any professional player would be happy to have it as their companion.
