The Makers:
This viola was made by Thomas Wilder while studying with Tschu Ho Lee at the Chicago School of Violin Making in the laste 1980′. After graduating from the Chicago School, he apprenticed in Seoul, Los Angeles, and Paris. In more recent years, Wilder was president of the American Federation of Violin and Bow makers, and the Canadian delegate to the Entente Internationale des Luthiers et Architeirs.
Appearance:
The instrument is elegantly varnished a deep red with a stunningly flamed 2 piece back.
Sound & Feel:
The instrument’s sound excels in its clarity and articulation. It produces a very rich sound in the lower register, and soars throughout the upper register.
