Enter the time machine and travel back to Turin, Italy during the 1700’s. Count Cozio di Salabue commissioned Giovanni Battista Guadagnini to make a viola. Guadagnini  made this viola for Count Cozio di Salabue in 1773! What we would have observed during our 1773 foray, is Guadagnini enjoying the freedom to experiment and create innovative smaller-sized violas.
