Reinhold Dotschkail (b. 1923, d. 1996) learned the art of bowmaking in the 1930’s at the Gewerblichen technical school for instrument making in Graslitz, Germany. During WWII he was driven into exile, emerging in 1951 when he opened his own workshop in Erlangen. His techniques reflect classic Bohemian bow making traditions as well as his own personally designed models.
