The Morizot bow is a marvelous outcome of a true Mirecourt family affair! Prolific bowmaker Louis Morizot meticulously trained five of his sons in the archetier. The sons, Marcel, Andre, Georges, Louis, and Paul each specialized in different types of bows or aspects of the bow making process thus producing an impressive number of bows with, more importantly, superior quality. Marcel roughed out the sticks; Andre dedicated himself to the highest quality silver and gold model as well as expertly cambering each bow; Georges provided the fine finishing; Louis indulged in bass bow models; and Paul worked exclusively on frogs. The bow is the culmination of five master craftsmen and collaborators working together to create a new voice for your violin!
