The Maker:
William Robinson (b.1880, c.1960) began violin making in Plumstead, south London in 1910. He was advised and influenced by Dykes & Sons. He was a prolific and distinguished craftsman who completed about 400 violins based on the classical Cremonese models.
Appearance:
A dark brown over gold varnish accompanies finely flamed wood on this exquisite violin.
Sound & Feel:
This violin is quick to respond and easy to play. It is quite expressive and produces a vibrant and rich tone. It can adapt to any musical setting and would be ideal for an advanced or professional player.
