The Makers:

Petio Kostov is an award-winning maker who studied violin-making with Vladimir Naidenov in Bulgaria before entering the Chicago School of Violinmaking, of which he is now Vice President of the Board. His education in electrical engineering gave him valuable insights into the science of acoustics. Particularly regarded are his violas, known for their operatic quality and resonance.

Appearance:

This viola varnished in reddish-brown with brilliant flaming across the back.

Sound & Feel:

It has a deep, warm sound with the clarity and quick response across all the strings.
