The Makers:

This 3/4 violin was crafted in the workbench of Christian Pedersen in 2000 in Albuquerque, NM.

Christian Pedersen has been immersed in the violin trade since the age of ten, developing extensive expertise in violin making, restoration, and repair. He studied violin performance at West Texas State University and the University of North Texas while completing an apprenticeship with master luthier Steven Cundall in Aubrey, Texas.

After gaining years of experience, Christian established his own violin shop before serving as Head of Instrument Production at Brook Mays Music. For more than two decades, he has been an integral part of Robertson & Sons.

Christian’s instruments are played by professional musicians from major orchestras, such as the New York Philharmonic, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and the New Jersey Symphony, as well as by music educators and students these days. He is also a proud member of the American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers.

Appearance:

Each corner is elegantly decorated with fleur-de-lis, it has a lovely orange-brown varnish over the gold ground with gorgeous flamed maple back.

Sound & Feel:

This compact instrument delivers a rich, resonant tone with depth and clarity. It is a perfect instrument for a progressing student.
